New conditions for entry into the UK
As of January 18, 2021, at 4:00 a.m. (local time), all passengers arriving in England from abroad must present, including when boarding trains, ferries or aircraft, a test with a negative result for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, carried out no more than 3 days before entering the England. Molecular, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests or derived technologies are accepted, including loop-mediated isothermal amplification tests (LAMP) or antigen tests, for example a test performed with a lateral flow device. The result of the negative test must be written in the original in English, French or Spanish, with no translations accepted. The test must meet performance standards of specificity ≥97%, sensitivity ≥80% to viral loads over 100,000 copies / ml.
